Mary Magdalene Light Roast honors the woman who was central to Jesus’s ministry, financing much of his activity along with helping spread his good news. A leader of the group of women who followed and supported Jesus and his Apostles, Mary paralleled Simon Peter who was the head Apostle. Attested to have discovered the empty tomb by all of the Gospel writers, she was a central witness to the Resurrection and her word was important in the years following that event and the spread of Christianity and the Word.
The light roast primarily acknowledges Mary’s role in discovering the empty tomb early in the morning. It is a smooth, but powerful brew needed for those rising before the rest of their house in preparation of prayer and work to support their families and focus on their daily missions.
